Still buzzin from the progress...
Well, what can I say? 28 straight days of rain can't slow down my optimism nor can it stop the Seattle Seahawks! But, the nausea and the fatigue continue to take its toll on me. My appetite is still good, but this nausea, while it hasn't caused me to vomit or anything, works its way into my head giving me a dull headache through the day. Add the fatigue and it makes for a lethargic day with very little energy to do much. That week break between cycles will be nice, but probably won't be enough for my body to catch up. And thats the crux, if we allow my body to catch up, so will the cancer. We have to keep hitting it hard and hope for the best. Maybe the Seahawks can keep winning giving me something to take my mind off the troubles.
Besides watching the snow fall on the mountains in anticipation of maybe getting some ski runs in, the weather hasn't been bothering me. If anything, its been enjoyable and relaxing but it also has prevented me from going out on walks. The weather sure is whacky though, a snow draught last winter and now we get all the snow we could use and a whole lot more. It will kill me not to get to lay a few tracks at the least. With all that powdery softness, what could go wrong?
My friend Brian, working in Japan, sent me a headband he picked up and asked me to take a picture of me with it on and send it over to him. I will do one better and post it here for everyone. My coworker Yuki can correct us if we are wrong but Brian says the writing on the headband says "Fighting Spirit." I put it on and Beth snapped a picture and with the background scenery, I certainly felt (and feel) like a fighting spirit. See for yourself:

Thanks Brian. So I will be laying low again today and trying to deal with this nausea as best as I can. Hopefully there will be some interesting football games to watch today or even better, a well deserved nap. Beth will be working on Periwinkle Rose biz so it will be nice and quite with no complaints of how much football will be televised!

James,
Love the Fighting Spirit! It is nice of you to share your thoughts with us.
I enjoy the writing process. It is rather therapeutic in itself. I concentrate on expressing myself and time flies by. I work through issues and have something tangible to share with others. Sharing gives the words a meaning beyond myself.
Nice to hear the SUV’s are looking good.
Best Wishe rrom the crew at the dive shop,
Peace,
John Burns

James,
Your words are inspiring to read. You have always had an incredible passion for life, it is great to see that in you even when things are difficult.
Hope you get a chance to enjoy some great snow. I am not a skier or snow boarder, but I when boarding for my first time last weekend. There was a lot of soft snow for me to stick my head in and impact with my ass! I did have some great runs and will do it again.
Smiles,
Scot Weeks

James,
I haven't visited your blog much, prefering to talk to you directly. But today I took a look and found out how much I've been missing. I got you bookmarked now!
And if you're looking for a ski buddy, I'll join you for a time or 2!
